What QR Shelf stores

QR Shelf stores saved QR data locally on your device. This can include:

  • scanned QR content and QR codes you create inside the app
  • saved titles, notes, favorites, archive state, and folder placement
  • learned folder rules used to improve future auto-sorting on your device
  • backup files only when you explicitly export them
  • onboarding state and app preferences

QR Shelf does not require an account and does not use cloud sync for the core shelf experience.

Permissions and device access

QR Shelf requests access only for features that need it.

  • Camera: used for live QR scanning.
  • Network access: used for Google AdMob ads and Google's consent flow.
  • System file picker access: used only when you choose to import a backup, export a backup, or save a QR image.

Ads and third-party services

QR Shelf uses third-party Google services for ads and ad consent.

  • Google AdMob may process device and advertising data to serve and measure ads.
  • Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) is used to manage consent and privacy options where required.

QR Shelf does not sell your personal data.

How saved QR data is used

Your saved QR content is used inside the app to:

  • show your scan history
  • help you search, favorite, archive, and organize saved scans
  • generate local backups when you choose to export them
  • restore your data when you choose to import a backup

Data sharing

Your saved QR history is not sent to the developer's own servers.

Data may be shared with Google only to the extent required to serve ads, measure ad delivery, and manage consent through Google's SDKs.

Backups, export, and sharing

When you export a backup, save a QR image, or share a saved QR code to another app, that action happens only because you chose it. Exported files remain wherever you save them, and shared content is then handled by the destination app or service you selected.

Data retention and deletion

Your saved scan history remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Backups remain wherever you saved them unless you delete those files separately.

Children

QR Shelf is not directed to children under 13.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated if QR Shelf's data handling changes. Questions can be sent to chengloongang@gmail.com.
