Information Stored On Your Device
The app may store the following information locally on your device:
- saved gyms, compare selections, filters, and similar app preferences
- cached live gym catalog data for faster loading and offline fallback behavior
- cached community-pricing data used to show recent pricing summaries more quickly
- a random install identifier used for anonymous community-pricing submissions and votes when those live features are enabled
Permissions
Singapore Gym Locator requests only the permissions needed for current features:
- Internet and network state: used to load live catalog data, community-pricing data, map tiles, ads, and external links.
- Approximate and precise location: used only when you choose nearby sorting, current-location refresh, or map recentering.
The app does not use background location tracking.
Ads And Consent
Singapore Gym Locator uses Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to show banner ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage consent and privacy choices where required.
Google may collect or process device, app, advertising, and consent information according to Google's own policies. Depending on your region and Google's requirements, you may be able to review or change ad privacy choices from inside the app.
Live Catalog And Community Pricing
The app can use Supabase for live gym catalog data and anonymous community-pricing features. When enabled, the app may send and receive data needed to load gym records, show pricing summaries, submit price reports, and vote on pricing reports.
Community-pricing submissions and votes can include the gym key, pricing details, optional source URLs, optional notes, vote choices, timestamps, and the locally generated install identifier used for abuse controls and rate limits.
Location, Maps, And External Links
If you enable location, your current location is used in the app to sort gyms by distance, refresh nearby results, and recenter the map. Under normal browsing, this current-location reading is used on-device and is not uploaded to the developer's own servers.
When the in-app map is displayed, your device may contact OpenStreetMap-related tile services through osmdroid. When you open Google Maps, gym websites, or other external links, those third-party services receive requests directly from your device according to their own policies.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to:
- show gym listings, map markers, filters, and comparison details
- remember saved gyms and local app preferences
- cache catalog and pricing data for faster loading
- support optional nearby and map-location features
- support anonymous community-pricing reports and votes
- serve ads and manage ad privacy choices
Data Sharing
Singapore Gym Locator does not sell your personal data.
Data may be shared with service providers only to operate features you use, including Google for ads and consent, Supabase for live catalog and community-pricing services, OpenStreetMap-related tile services for map display, and external websites or Google Maps when you choose to open them.
Retention And Deletion
Locally stored preferences, cached catalog data, cached community-pricing data, and the local install identifier remain on your device until you clear app storage or uninstall the app.
Community-pricing submissions or votes sent to the live backend may remain in Supabase until they are updated, moderated, or removed according to the service setup for the app.
Children
Singapore Gym Locator is not directed to children under 13.
Your Choices
You can deny location permission and continue browsing manually. You can clear local app data through Android settings or uninstall the app. Where available, you can review or change ad consent choices from inside the app.
